1. Who we are
"FAI Productions", "FAI", "we", "us" and "our" mean Muhammad Faiz, an individual trading under the name FAI Productions from Satellite Town, Behari Colony, Bahawalpur 63100, Punjab, Pakistan. FAI Productions is a trading name of an individual proprietor. It is not a company registered under the Companies Act, 2017, not a partnership, and not a law firm. No advocate is engaged by us to advise you, and we do not hold ourselves out as legal practitioners.
You can reach us by email at support@failegal.site or on WhatsApp at +92 301 5368421. Full details are on the Contact page.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By opening the assistant, creating an account, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy and to our Refund and Cancellation Policy, all of which form part of this agreement. When you create an account you are asked to confirm this expressly. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use the service on behalf of a firm, chamber, institution or client, you confirm that you have authority to bind them and that "you" includes them.
3. Who may use the service
- You must be at least 18 years old, or a student of law aged 16 or over using the service for study.
- The service is built for advocates, law students, legal researchers, academics, journalists and any member of the public who wants to study Pakistani statutes and case law.
- You must not be barred by any court order, professional sanction or applicable law from using an online research service.
4. What the service does
FAI Legal Research Assistant answers questions against an index of Pakistani statute sections and court judgments, and prepares first-draft legal documents from reviewed templates. It retrieves and cites primary sources rather than answering from a language model's memory alone. The size of the corpus, the courts it covers and the courts it does not cover are stated on the About page and are updated as the corpus grows.
The service is provided for research, study and general information purposes only. It helps you find, read and organise the law. It does not tell you what to do.
5. Not legal advice, no lawyer and client relationship
- Nothing produced by the service is legal advice, a legal opinion, or a recommendation to act or not to act. Output is a starting point for your own research and drafting.
- Using the service does not create an advocate and client, fiduciary or professional relationship of any kind between you and us. Anything you type into the assistant is not privileged by reason of being sent to us.
- If you need advice on a specific matter, consult an advocate enrolled with a Provincial Bar Council or the Pakistan Bar Council who can consider your facts.
- If you are an advocate, your professional duties under the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973, the Pakistan Bar Council rules and the orders of the court remain entirely yours. A tool cannot discharge them. You are responsible for every document you file and every submission you make, whether or not the service helped prepare it.
6. No guarantee of accuracy, completeness or currency
We work hard on citation accuracy and we check every citation against the retrieved source before showing it. Even so, we give no guarantee, and you should not expect one, that any answer, citation, statutory text or draft is 100% correct, complete or current. In particular:
- AI-generated text can be wrong. The assistant can misread a source, miss a relevant authority, or express a point of law inaccurately.
- The corpus is not the whole of Pakistani law. Not every court is mirrored and not every judgment of a mirrored court is present. A "no result found" means the corpus does not contain it, not that it does not exist. Coverage is stated on the About page.
- Sources can be out of date. A statute may have been amended, repealed or struck down, and a judgment may have been overruled, distinguished or set aside, after it was indexed. Mirrored sources can lag the courts' own publication.
- Drafts are drafts. A generated document is a first draft from a template. It must be reviewed and adapted by a competent person before it is signed, served or filed.
Always verify against the official Gazette, the certified copy of the judgment or a recognised law report before relying on anything the service shows you.
7. Your responsibilities
- Verify every statutory provision and every citation against an official source.
- Apply your own judgment, or that of a qualified advocate, before acting on any output.
- Keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
- Only upload or type in material you are entitled to share. If you handle client material, it is your decision and your responsibility whether it may be sent to an online tool. See the Privacy Policy for how uploaded material is handled.
- Comply with all laws that apply to you, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
8. Accounts
- An account is needed for anything beyond the public pages. You must give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Each account is for one person. Each plan carries a device limit described on the Plans page; the service may sign out the oldest device when a new one exceeds that limit.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- We may refuse, suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that is used to abuse the service, or where we are required to do so by law. Where practical we will tell you why.
9. Plans, payment and renewal
- The Free plan costs nothing, has no expiry and needs no payment details.
- Paid plans are priced in Pakistani Rupees on the Plans page. The price shown there when you pay is the price that applies.
- Paid plans are arranged with us directly, by WhatsApp or email, and paid in advance for one month or one year. We do not take card details on this site and we do not charge you automatically. Your plan is activated on your account once payment is confirmed.
- A paid plan runs for the period paid for. Before it ends we will remind you. If you do not renew, the account returns to the Free plan and your data and settings remain in place.
- Prices may change. A change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
- Referral rewards are governed by the terms stated on the Plans page at the time of the referral.
10. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from Settings in the app or by writing to us. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for. If we fail to provide something we have listed for your plan, or if there has been a billing error, we will put it right or refund you. The full rules, including how to make a request and how quickly we respond, are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Acceptable use
You may use the service to research Pakistani law and to draft your own documents. You must not:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to prepare content intended to mislead a court, a tribunal, a public authority or another party about its origin, its author or the state of the law;
- present output as the advice or work of an advocate when it is not;
- share credentials, exceed the device limit of your plan, or circumvent usage metering;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise extract the corpus, the index or the templates, or use them to build or train a competing product;
- reverse engineer, probe or attack the service, its infrastructure or its providers;
- upload malware, or material that is defamatory, infringing, or that you have no right to share;
- resell or sublicense access without our written agreement.
12. Your inputs and generated documents
- You keep whatever rights you have in the questions, facts and files you provide. You give us permission to process them only as far as is needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- A document generated from your inputs is yours to use, edit and file. We do not claim ownership of it, and we accept no responsibility for how you use it.
- Templates and standard clauses remain ours and are licensed to you for use within documents you generate, not for redistribution as templates.
13. Intellectual property
Statutes and judgments are public records. We claim no ownership over them and nothing in these Terms restricts your access to them from their official sources. The software, the search index, the drafting templates, the site design, the name FAI Legal Research Assistant and this website are ours and are protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service under these Terms and nothing more.
14. Third-party services and AI providers
Answers are produced with the help of third-party AI model providers and hosting, database and email providers, and some processing runs on servers we operate. Those providers may change without notice. They are subject to their own terms and their own availability, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions or outages. The current categories of provider are listed in the Privacy Policy.
15. Availability, changes and termination
- We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, provider outages, connectivity in Pakistan and problems with a mirrored court source can all affect it.
- We may add, change or withdraw features, and may change the corpus, at any time. If a change removes something you have paid for, the Refund and Cancellation Policy applies.
- We may suspend or terminate the service, or your access to it, for breach of these Terms, for a legal or security reason, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop offering the service we will give reasonable notice and refund any unused paid period.
- You may stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
The service, the corpus, every answer, every citation and every draft are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will meet your requirements or the requirements of any court or authority.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the law of Pakistan:
- we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on any output of the service, including an adverse order, a dismissed case, a missed limitation period, a defective document, a professional sanction, a fine, costs, or loss of a client, income, profit, reputation or data;
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, however caused;
- our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or connected with the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period. For the Free plan that amount is nil;
- nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud.
These limits reflect the nature of the service: a low-cost research aid run by an individual, whose output you are required to verify before use.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the service in breach of any law or professional rule, your reliance on output without verification, or any material you upload.
19. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from the service are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
- If you have a complaint, write to us first at support@failegal.site. We will try to resolve it with you in good faith within 30 days.
- If it cannot be resolved, the courts at Bahawalpur, Punjab, have exclusive jurisdiction, and you agree to submit to that jurisdiction.
20. General
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- A failure by us to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer your account or this agreement to anyone else. We may transfer it to a successor who takes over the service, and will tell you if we do.
- These Terms are written in English. If a translation is ever provided, the English text governs.
- Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
21. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be shown here with a new revision date and, where you have an account, notified in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and, if you wish, ask us to close your account.
